ABOUT PROJECT

This project was created for the Council of Lutheran Churches’ Reformation Day Service in London, celebrating the life and legacy of William Tyndale — scholar, translator, and reformer. Work involved creating educational banners, leaflets, and a website. The visual materials explored key moments of his life, from his studies at Oxford and Cambridge to his exile on the Continent, where he produced the first English New Testament translated from Greek.

Tyndale served as a vital bridge between Wittenberg and England, carrying the ideas of the Reformation across borders. Influenced by Martin Luther’s teachings, he shared the conviction that Scripture should be available to all in their native tongue.

Through design, research, and storytelling, the project aimed to highlight Tyndale’s courage, his linguistic legacy, and his role in bringing Reformation thought to the English-speaking world.
